Junior Research Fellow
Sharda University

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow at Sharda University, Greater Noida, U.P. under DBT funded Project.

This is a multi-institutional project sponsored under the genome-editing scheme of DBT. The work will be done at Sharda University which has well equipped molecular biology and plant tissue culture facilities. The fellow will also do some experiments at NIPGR, New Delhi. The JRF can pursue Ph.D. through this project.

Project Scientist‑I

Internship-Networking and Mentorship, IndiaBioscience

We are looking for ONE intern in the ​‘Networking and Mentorship’ vertical at IndiaBioscience for the period of 3 months. This is a part-time, paid position.

Responsibilities will include working on networking and mentorship related meetings and platforms at IndiaBioscience.

Specific tasks over 3 months will be (January-February-March 2025)

  1. Support and logistics for YIM 2025, including setting up poster sessions at YIM 2025 and registration desk at YIM 2025, among other tasks (March 2025).
  2. Support and logistics for a career-development workshop for postdocs in the life science community (January-February 2025).
  3. Other tasks related to networking and mentorship related meetings and platforms at IndiaBioscience.

The ideal candidate should have strong writing skills, good communication skills, excellent organisational capabilities, including planning, multitasking, project tracking and management, and ability to work with deadlines and in a team. The team members will be expected to be present for, and participate in, digital weekly meetings at IndiaBioscience.

We are looking for an intern who is passionate about digital media, event management, and storytelling through audio-visual content. Join IndiaBioscience as an intern in the Digital Initiatives vertical for an exciting 3‑month, part-time, paid opportunity.

This role focuses on supporting the Young Investigators’ Meeting (YIM) 2025 and other digital initiatives at IndiaBioscience.

1. Audio-Visual Support for YIM 2025:

  • Handle logistics related to audio-visual needs, including:
    • Obtaining and negotiating vendor quotations.

    • Collecting and organizing slides from mentors, speakers, and participants.

    • Managing slide sequences, timings for smooth transitions during the event.

  • Oversee AV setup during the meeting, ensuring:
    • Speaker schedules are adhered to.

    • Slides are loaded and ready.

    • Mic and other AV support are provided efficiently.

    • Live streaming of certain sessions are set up and managed.

2. Pre-Meeting Video Creation:

  • Collaborate with the Program Manager — Digital Initiatives to create two videos for YIM 2025.

  • Proficiency in video editing and design tools like Adobe Première Pro and Canva / other video editing softwares is required.

  • Post meeting — video editing help will also be required

3. Digital tasks:

  • Contribute to other digital tasks and platforms at IndiaBioscience.

  • Assist in podcast recordings during the meeting if possible.

4. Event Presence:

  • Be available from 2 – 8 March 2025 in Agra to support the event on-site.

  • Travel, accommodation, and food for the event will be covered as per IndiaBioscience norms.

  • Start Date: 15 January 2025.

  • Mode: Remote (except for YIM 2025 from 2 – 8 March in Agra).

  • Weekly participation in digital meetings is expected.
