Hello from IndiaBioscience! We are happy to share our third International Grants Awareness Program (iGAP) newsletter of the year. iGAP aims at providing information, guidance and education to improve the quality and quantity of international grant applications from life science researchers in India. As always, this newsletter will bring to you the latest information on international funding and networking opportunities, and upcoming and previous webinars conducted via iGAP.
The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) offers a wide range of opportunities opportunities for scientists to network and collaborate, including via its program - EMBO Courses & Workshops. This program is aimed at promoting scientific knowledge and providing training on novel techniques for early-career researchers.
Recently, iGAP in partnership with EMBO organised a webinar on EMBO Courses & Workshops. In this webinar, Gerlind Wallon, Deputy Director and Programme Head introduced the EMBO Courses & Workshops, and Zoi Lygerou, Professor, University of Patras, Greece discussed eligibility and selection criteria for being EMBO Courses & Workshops organisers. Additionally, two former EMBO Courses & Workshops organisers – Kishore Panigrahi, Associate Professor, National Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhubaneswar, and Ajay Pillai, Scientist E, National Centre for Cell Science, Pune, shared their experiences preparing competitive applications. The webinar was moderated by Rohini Karandikar, Associate Director, IndiaBioscience.
The webinar was well-received by life science researchers! The Q/A session that followed the presentation witnessed an interactive discussion by the webinar attendees. The link to the webinar can be found here.
