We had the final Regional Young Investigators’ Meeting (RYIM) for 2024-2025 from 19 to 21 March, 2025, at the National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) in Manesar and Ashoka University in Sonipat. Centered around the theme "Building Networks and Collaborations in Interdisciplinary Science," the three-day event featured scientific talks, mentor discussions, and networking opportunities. A highlight was the "Crafting Your Career" workshop on 20 March, aimed at fostering professional development among early-career researchers. Next up, we co-organised the EMBO Global Investigator Network: Global Research and Networking in Academia webinar with EMBO on 7 April, 2025. The webinar was aimed at young investigators in life sciences. Gerlind Wallon and Leonor Teles-Grilo Ruivo from the EMBO introduced the EMBO GIN programme and Global Investigators from India, Neha Jain from IIT Jodhpur and Rajender Motiani from Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad, presented their motivations to apply for the programme, shared their insights on mentoring and networking, and pragmatic tips on the application process. The 17th edition of the Young Investigators’ Meeting (YIM 2025) was held in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, from 3rd to 7th March 2025. The event brought together around 150 young investigators, postdoctoral fellows, mentors, funding agencies, and institutional representatives. It featured mentor talks, special talks, institutional representative talks, networking sessions, panel discussions, an ice-breaker session, lightning talks by postdoctoral fellows, and poster presentations. The Regional Young Investigators’ Meeting (RYIM) Delhi-NCR from 19 to 21 March 2025 at BRIC-National Brain Research Centre (BRIC-NBRC), Manesar, Gurgaon, and Ashoka University, Sonipat. With the theme ‘Building Networks and Collaborations in Interdisciplinary Science’, this three-day meeting brought together a series of scientific talks, presentations and professional development discussions. IndiaBioscience will lead a Crafting Your Career (CYC) workshop on 20 March 2025.
Approximately 130 participants from various regional institutions engaged in plenary talks, panel discussions, and poster presentations, promoting interdisciplinary collaborations and strengthening regional scientific networks.

We are excited to share the latest resource from our 5th IndiaBioscience Outreach awardee, Aswathy Raveendran from the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai. Aswathy leads Biotales, which documents research journeys by engaging with doctoral students to co-create science outreach material that reflects their personal experiences in research and offers aspiring young researchers, scientists and the public the opportunity to understand the culture of science.

Siuli Mitra joined as Acting Director of IndiaBioscience. Siuli’s work has ranged from content development across diverse media to formulating external and internal communication strategies and advising senior management on public communication of science and technology at different organisations. In the past, Siuli worked with BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute, Faridabad; the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India; the Archives at Christian Medical College, Vellore; and the DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance.
Moumita Mazumdar joined the team as Program Manager - Science Communication. Moumita is trained in microbiology and science communication, with expertise in science writing and audio-visual content creation. Moumita has been a part of the IndiaBioscience family for several years in different capacities, and we look forward to her continued contributions as an official team member!
