International Grants Awareness Program (iGAP)

Dear Reader,

Greetings from the team at the International Grants Awareness Program (iGAP) of IndiaBioscience.

At IndiaBioscience we aim to increase the visibility of science in society, by being a hub for policy discussions, science communication, and as an aggregator of information.

The iGAP initiative recently completed a year. At this milestone, we took a look back at the year that has been. Our first year was dedicated to building the foundation of the iGAP. Over the year we have also built a database of mentors and resource people for international grants from whom prospective applicants can seek insights. For a more detailed look at our year, do read our recently published snapshot of the year 2020.

We are also thrilled to announce the launch of our iGAP webpage (https://indiabioscience.org/igap). All the resources that we have created so far are housed here. These resources have been compiled into funding-body-specific infographics (freely downloadable) that serve as a one-stop source of information. Till now, we have covered three funding agencies: MSCA, EMBO, and HFSP.

We have exciting plans for the year ahead. You can expect to see us cover more funding agencies in an in-depth manner than we have done so far and as relevant to the funding cycle we will revisit schemes that we have already covered.

We would also like to invite you to be a part of iGAP. If anyone from your institution has received international funding that you would like us to highlight, do reach out to us. Also, do let us know if you want us to cover any specific theme related to International Grants Awareness or particular fellowships/grants. For any of these please drop a note to us at iGAP[at]indiabioscience[dot]org.

In order for these resources to reach the last mile, we request you to share these within your organization. The downloadable posters with compiled resources can be housed/added to your organization's website, with due credit to IndiaBioscience.

Thanks and regards,

Team iGAP
