Dear IndiaBioscience Community,

This month, Smita Jain, IndiaBioscience's Executive Director bids farewell to the organisation to pursue new challenges and avenues. Her journey at IndiaBioscience spanning 5 years has helped the organisation flourish, growing from strength to strength.

Smita’s ‘sky is the limit’ outlook has enabled IndiaBioscience to spread its wings by embarking on diverse initiatives, such as the Regional YIMs to promote networking of science professionals, the ‘Crafting Your Career’ program to build awareness on different science careers, multiple in-house publications, and various skill-building activities.

She has worked with science professionals across career stages/paths and geographical locations and forged several new partnerships that have helped IndiaBioscience grow and diversify its audience.

Smita has been an outstanding leader, mentor, and communicator, with a characteristic clarity of vision and enthusiasm for bettering the community. We are sure that the indelible impact that she has had on the life science community will only continue to thrive. We hope that in her future roles, she continues to inspire, engage with and advocate for the life science community in India.

It has been an absolute pleasure for us to work with Smita over this exciting phase of IndiaBioscience. The IndiaBioscience Board and Team wish Smita all the best for this new chapter in her career. Good luck! Soar high!
