Pavan takes you on a journey through the captivating evolution of scientific discoveries. Juggling his passion project alongside a full-time role at IISER Pune, Pavan Kumar brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to the realm of science communication.

His research interest is in creating and probing out-of-equilibrium soft matter systems using light. To this end, he explores the interface of statistical optics and soft matter physics including topics in light scattering, nanophotonics, optical forces, Brownian motion and pattern formation.

He is an experimental physicist by training, but he is also deeply interested in theoretical and computational questions related to the above-mentioned topics.

Furthermore, he researches and writes about the history of science. 

He blogs, creates YouTube videos and podcasts on his research and learnings.
