The draft National policy on ‘Academic Ethics’, has been formulated by the PSA’s office, with feedback from the Indian National Science Academy and the Indian Academy of Sciences.The document lays down the foundational principles for upholding integrity and ethical practices in an academic environment and also streamlines the course of action to ensure delivery of justice in case of malpractices. The aim is to cultivate ethical practices in all spheres of conduct, in an academic/scientific working environment. The suggested guidelines will be used to develop specific implementation programs in institutions across the country. After a period of implementation of this draft policy, feedback will be taken and a final policy will be readied.
