University of Neuchatel (Switzerland) is looking for ​‘Scientific Collaborator’ with a strong background in programming and machine learning for a period of 6 months. We are interested in questions in animal cognition research, particularly primate vocal communication (www​.unine​.ch/​c​o​mpcog). The current project involves the development of an automated classification algorithm for primate vocalisations for which we need support with computer programming.

The salary is for a 100% position, according to the University’s pay scale.

MSc or PhD degree in Engineering or Computer Science and if you are fluent in Python, Matlab and C.

They will only consider applicants, who can demonstrate expertise in state-of-the-art machine learning. An additional knowledge in audio processing is a plus.
