Application are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow at Centre For Ayurveda Biology and Holistic Nutrition, The Transdisciplinary University for Health Sciences and Technology, Yelahanka, Bangalore.

Malnutrition is a major public health concern in our country. We are modelling early life malnutrition in Drosophila melanogaster and trying to understand how it alters adult health. This project will focus on gut health — specifically, digestive enzymes. Training in fly biology will be provided. Good communication skills — verbal & written. Willingness to locate yourself at or near TDU is a plus. This position can be evolved into a PhD project.

18 months.

DST JRF level, if NET/GATE qualified.

A suitable candidate will have a Master’s degree in any biology subject and experience with enzyme assays.
