Decoding the traits of drug-resistance: Studying the genetic factors contributing to the survivability and adaptability of gut pathogens in antibiotic rich environment

Profile

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF), to work in the DST — SERB project in the Nitte University Centre for Science Education and Research, Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru.

Duration

3 years

Money

Rs. 25,000/- per month + 20% HRA for 2 years

Rs. 28,000/- per month + 20% HRA for third year

Qualification

Master’s degree in Biomedical Science/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Fisheries Science/Genetics/Any branch of Life Science with at least 60% marks (Preferred: with UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET or KSLET certificate)

Experience

Working experience with medically important bacterial pathogens and experience in molecular techniques and identification of antibiotic resistance mechanisms etc.
