At the IIT Gandhinagar, the Fluid Dynamics Group is a diverse research group with varied interests, ranging from Low Reynolds Number flows, Flow control and Instabilities, Transport in porous media to Combustion. The Fluid Dynamics Group at IIT Gandhinagar are equipped to carry out heavy duty simulations for transport processes. Our group is looking for an outstanding candidate to strengthen our research team as a Post Doctoral Fellow, who can develop Numerical Tools (Codes, packages etc.) for two main purposes: (a) Simulate Reactive Transport Processes in porous media and (b) Model viscous flow of Complex Fluids at small scales, in presence of interfacial effects. 

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic researchers to embark on fundamental research in theoretical and simulation studies. Excellent oral and written skills in English are necessary.

Total duration of the project is One Year. However, initial appointment will be made for six months, and can be extended based on candidate’s performance.

Consolidated Monthly Pay: ₹ 40,000

Ph.D in Mechanical /​Chemical Engineering. Candidates who are have submitted there thesis or, are about to submit may also apply.
