Project

Nutritional geometry and mitochondrial assessment for longevity and fitness related studies in Drosophila ananassae.

Profile

Applications are invited for a post of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Fellow from eligible candidate in a research project funded up to March 2022 by the SERB- DST, New Delhi.

Duration

The selected candidate will be appointed for 16 months or the end of the project. Subject to his/​her performance, the selected candidate may also enroll in the Ph.D. program at Bundelkhand University.

Money

JRF/NET-LS qualified candidates will get Rs. 31,000/-month + HRA (as per the University rules). A Project Fellow may be considered on a fixed fellowship of Rs 15,000/- only.

Qualification

M. Sc. degree in Zoology/​Life Sciences/​Biotechnology/​Genetics or related subjects. Candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET- JRF or Lecturership (LS) will be preferred. 

Experience

Candidates should have a good academic record, and a strong motivation to pursue a career in science. Any skills or prior training on Drosophila flies and sound knowledge of cell biology and genetics will be desirable.
