This event concluded on December 4, 2016.

This is the second in the series of workshops for undergraduate teachers that IndiaBioscience organises in different cities across the country.

Through these workshops, we intend to create networking opportunities for undergraduate faculty - with their peers, as well as with scientists. Specific agenda for an individual workshop is developed with input from teachers in the city where it is held.

There is no fee to attend these workshops.

Session I: Minhaj Sirajuddin, InStem, Bangalore                                                      Presentation: Recent findings and trends in Cytoskeletal research            Participant Discussion: How to incorporate recent research into classroom teaching? 

Session II:  P B Venkatraman, BITS Pilani                                                   Presentation: To flip or not to flip, that's the question!                                          Participant Discussion: How do you know which teaching method to use?    Participants will also do mock exercises on developing teaching module based on techniques presented in this session.

Session I:  Shannon Olsson, NCBS, Bangalore                                                                  Presentation: Chemical Ecology: Unlocking the universal language of Nature           Participant Discussion: Aligning pedagogy and assessment in your classroom.        Participants will do mock exercises on developing assessment methods for their classes.

Session II: Satlaj Sachan (Certified counsellor), Bangalore                                         This session will address some of the psychological issues that a teacher can come across with their students. 

Lunch and snacks will be provided on both days.
