The Grants Manager will co-lead the Fellowships & Grants team alongside another Grants Manager and share responsibility for the full portfolio of applications and awards. They oversee periodic reviews and audits to ensure compliance with organisational policies, standard operating procedures, funding regulations and governance requirements, while identifying and managing operational risks, including those relating to business continuity and disaster recovery.
The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively across teams and sectors, exercise sound judgement, uphold high standards of quality and consistency, and maintain a clear understanding of the mission, strategic priorities and operating principles of the DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance.
The appointment will be in accordance with DBT/WT India Alliance rules and regulations. CBM undertakes cutting-edge research in the area of human mental illness with the goal of discovering novel and better methods for the diagnosis and clinical management of these patients. The program involves the generation and analysis of cellular models using patient-derived human-induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and their differentiated brain tissue.
Baatein is CBM's flagship science outreach initiative that was launched in 2025. Baatein has been envisioned as a space to hold open and inspirational conversations about mental health and mental well-being, backed by research and scientific evidence.

Minimum eligibility criterion for candidates to be considered is to have at least three publications in journals with impact factor of 2.0 or more. The candidate must be a first author/ joint first author/ corresponding author in at least one of these papers. Exceptions may be made for candidates with a paper in a journal of impact factor of more than 5.5.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience in in-vitro transcription methods using E. coli RNA polymerase including running of sequencing (denaturing PAGE) gels, enzyme kinetics, protein purification and biochemistry and molecular biology (cloning). No knowledge of NMR is required for this project.
