The role requires full-time engagement and is ideal for those actively progressing in their professional careers.</p><p>The Grants Manager will co-lead the Fellowships &amp; Grants team alongside another Grants Manager and share responsibility for the full portfolio of applications and awards. Working collaboratively, the two Grants Managers provide leadership for the grants management function, with each overseeing designated areas of responsibility while contributing to the overall planning, delivery and continuous improvement of the portfolio.<br /><br />The role is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the work undertaken by the grants management team, maintaining adherence to established procedures and organisational standards. It includes developing and delivering training to strengthen team capabilities, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of funding competitions.<br /><br />The Grants Manager plans, coordinates and manages Fellowship and/or Grants programmes across the funding lifecycle, including application management, peer review, award administration, post-award management, monitoring, reporting, compliance, award variations, impact assessment and stewardship. The role also involves gathering and analysing feedback from Fellows, reviewers, committee members and other stakeholders to support the continuous improvement of funding programmes, policies and operational processes.<br /><br />Working together, the Grants Managers are responsible for effective people and resource management, organisational change management, stakeholder engagement, and the identification and implementation of improvements to policies, practices and operational processes. They oversee periodic reviews and audits to ensure compliance with organisational policies, standard operating procedures, funding regulations and governance requirements, while identifying and managing operational risks, including those relating to business continuity and disaster recovery.</p><p>The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively across teams and sectors, exercise sound judgement, uphold high standards of quality and consistency, and maintain a clear understanding of the mission, strategic priorities and operating principles of the DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance.</p><h4>
      Duration
    </h4><p>The appointment will be in accordance with DBT/WT India Alliance rules and regulations. The position carries a fixed-term contract of up to five years from the date of joining, or until 1 April 2031, whichever is earlier, and includes a probation period of 3-6 months, depending on prior experience. Ongoing appointment within the five-year term is dependent on satisfactory outcomes of annual performance reviews.</p><h4>

The consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated communication strategies to enhance BIRAC's visibility, showcase the impact of its programmes, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and position BIRAC as a leading innovation and biotechnology ecosystem enabler.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with BIRAC's mission, objectives and target audience.</li><li>Develop content for press releases, articles, blogs, social media posts, newsletters, and multimedia materials, to communicate BIRAC's activities, programs, and impact to diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Support leadership communication, including speeches, presentations, talking points, keynote addresses, and official messages.</li><li>Manage creative agencies, media agencies, designers and digital communication partners.</li><li>Develop creative campaigns using diverse formats to highlight BIRAC impact and initiatives.</li><li>Track engagement analytics and recommend strategies to improve reach and stakeholder engagement of BIRAC.     </h4><p>ATREE is seeking a creative and motivated researcher to lead interdisciplinary research and practice in agroecology. The successful candidate will work closely with other faculty at ATREE to actively foster interdisciplinary approaches within sustainability science and contribute to ATREE’s overarching mission. The Fellow’s major responsibilities will include advancing agroecosystem science across India’s agroclimatic zones, particularly the Eastern Himalayas and the Western Ghats; developing interdisciplinary approaches that enhance food and nutrient security, ecosystem resilience, and biodiversity conservation; innovating within the Food–Water–Biodiversity–Climate nexus framework to strengthen landscape multifunctionality. Primarily affiliated to ATREE’s Ecosystems and Human Well-being Programme, the Fellow will pursue these responsibilities, collaborating across ATREE’s other programmes, including Water &amp; Society, Forests, Governance and Livelihoods, and Biodiversity Monitoring &amp; Conservation Planning.</p><p>The Fellow will also be expected to foster partnerships with farmers, local community-based organisations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to lead efforts aimed at understanding, mitigating, and adapting to the impacts of climate change on agroecosystems. In addition, the candidate will be expected to secure competitive research and outreach grants and contribute to ATREE’s teaching (Master’s and PhD programmes), training programmes, outreach activities, and other institutional initiatives.</p><p>Appointments and Emoluments: Appointments will be at the level of Fellow. The position is for 5 years with the possibility of extension upon performance review and quality of deliverables. Salaries at ATREE are competitive and on par with other academic institutions in India. The position will be based in Bangalore. </p><h4>
      Qualifications
    </h4><p>PhD in Life Sciences/Agriculture with a minimum of three years of postdoctoral research experience. The candidate should have a strong grounding in agriculture, ecology, or biology, with the ability to work across disciplines, including economics.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>Desirable Experience: A minimum of three years of professional or postdoctoral experience in agroecology, with a demonstrated track record in tropical landscapes. The candidate should be proficient in designing and conducting agro-ecological studies and possess strong data analysis skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, with the ability to communicate complex ecological concepts and research findings to diverse audiences, including students, policymakers, and the public. The candidate should have a sound understanding of biodiversity conservation and sustainable development issues at both the national and global levels, experience working with rural and peri-urban farming communities, and a proven ability to lead research projects, collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary teams, develop competitive grant proposals, and teach at the graduate level.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>The Centre for Brain and Mind (CBM) is an exciting scientific venture of the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) and the National Institute for Mental Health &amp; Neurosciences (NIMHANS), supported by the Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies. CBM undertakes cutting-edge research in the area of human mental illness with the goal of discovering novel and better methods for the diagnosis and clinical management of these patients. The program involves the generation and analysis of cellular models using patient-derived human-induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and their differentiated brain tissue.</p><p><em>Baatein</em> is CBM's flagship science outreach initiative that was launched in 2025. <em>Baatein</em> has been envisioned as a space to hold open and inspirational conversations about mental health and mental well-being, backed by research and scientific evidence.<br /></p><p>Position: One (1), on-site role<br /></p><p>The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with interest in digital storytelling, content development and community engagement, preferably within academic, scientific, research, or non-profit environments.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>The incumbent is expected to be able to:</p><p><strong>Content Generation:</strong> Design infographics, visual aids and written or interactive content that will help disseminate CBM research to the society at large.</p><p><strong>Science Illustrations:</strong> Develop illustrations and/or animations that accentuate and help better understand and disseminate CBM's scientific research in a highly creative manner.</p><p><strong>Scientific Outreach:</strong> Work as part of a team to publicize, plan and successfully conduct a variety of off-and on-campus science outreach activities.
