    </h4><p>The Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee invites application from outstanding and enthusiastic researcher for a post-doctoral position under the mentorship of Dr Sachin Suresh Tiwari (Assistant Professor, Department of Bioscience and Bioengineering).</p><p>The prospective candidate is expected to have a PhD with specialization in any field of modern life science and background in rodent model handling/behavioral analysis/ brain stereotaxic surgery . Experience with brain immunohistochemistry or recombinant DNA technology will be an added advantage. The candidate should have publications in peer reviewedjournals. Apart from research in this particular area, the candidate is expected to be involved in other academic responsibilities as deemed fit by department.</p><h4>
      Duration
    </h4><p>The duration of fellowship will be 2 Years, extendable by one more year.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>The fellowship amount is Rs 55000 per month for first two years and Rs 60000 per month for third year (if extended) and a contingency amount of Rs 50000 per year will be awarded to the Post- doctoral fellow (PDF).</p><h4>

    </h4><p>PhD (completed) in any field of modern life science with emphasis on neuroscience or neurological conditions.<br /></p><h4>

    Multidisciplinary approach for the design and development of novel ion-channel inhibitors for cancer therapy

    </h4><p>Applications are invited from Indian citizens for a Project Coordinator position in the DBT sponsored project.</p><p>The project aims to investigate for the first time the nexus between a membrane channel protein (CLIC1) and a chaperone (Gankyrin) in cancer cell migration and invasion using an integrated approach encompassing tools in biophysics, biochemistry, cell biology, chemical biology, synthetic chemistry, structure-based inhibitor design, small molecule screening and computational methods for the development of peptide or small molecule-based CLIC1 inhibitors for therapy.</p><p>In this multidisciplinary and multi-institutional project the selected candidate is expected to take the initiative in constructing protein interaction network, modeling protein complexes and characterizing them using state-of-the-art docking and MD simulations. The selected candidate will also be involved in using leads from synthetic chemistry labs to identify binding sites for peptide derivatives and small molecules.</p><h4>
      Duration
    </h4><p>Initially for 6 months and can be extended for two years, depending on satisfactory performance and the availability of funds.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>Rs. 60,000/- per month consolidated.</p><h4>
      Qualifications
    </h4><p>Motivated Computational biologist and bioinformatician with a PhD degree in these areas with extensive knowledge and experience in databases, protein structure activity relationships and pathways such as the Reactome, with an understanding about protein networks and gene relationshipscan apply.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>Ability to code and extract information is mandatory. Knowledge in medicinal chemistry is desirable.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>Applications are invited from Indian citizens for a Research Associate position in the DBT sponsored project.</p><p>The project aims to investigate for the first time the nexus between a membrane channel protein (CLIC1) and a chaperone (Gankyrin) in cancer cell migration and invasion using an integrated approach encompassing tools in biophysics, biochemistry, cell biology, chemical biology, synthetic chemistry, structure-based inhibitor design, small molecule screening and computational methods for development of peptide or small molecule-based CLIC1 inhibitors for therapy.</p><p>In this multidisciplinary and multi institutional project the selected candidate will be responsible for understanding the transcriptomic and proteomic changes responsible for cancer cell migration driven by protein-protein interactions involving CLIC1 and Gankyrin.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>Initially for 6 months. Depending on satisfactory performance the position will be extended for another two and half years.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>Salary will be between Research Associate I - Research Associate II</p><h4>
      Qualifications
    </h4><p>ACTREC is looking for motivated and enthusiastic PhD degree holders in life science and allied subjects with expertise in mammalian cell culture, protein chemistry, molecular biology and cell biology techniques including skills required for characterizing protein interactions such as immunoprecipitation.. Knowledge in protein structure, folding and conformation is desirable. Those awaiting their degree but have submitted their thesis are eligible to apply. The candidate must have at least one peer reviewed publication in the area of expertise and must be able to think and work independently as well as in collaboration.</p><p>The selected candidate will be interacting with investigators from IISER Bhopal, IISER Pune, IIT Mumbai to develop hypothesis and characterize the mechanism of cellular migration in the context of select PPI.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>Desirable:</p><ol><li>Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience and good knowledge in handling chemical biology laboratory tools.</li><li>A candidate with prior experience in biosensors and bioanalytical devices is desirable</li></ol><h4>

    </h4><p>Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the scheme of “Short-Term Research Fellowship”, NIPGR under the supervision of Dr. Jitender Giri, NIPGR. Emoluments will be at par with similar fellowships by DBT/DST and NIPGR fellowship norms.</p><p>The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the scheme. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidates against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidates. Reservation of post shall be as per Government of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month notice by either side.     </h4><p>The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow to work under the DBT funded research project in the laboratory of Dr. Pavan Agrawal (Website: <a href="https://www.agrawallab.com">https://www.agrawallab.com</a>) at the Centre for Molecular Neurosciences, KMC, Manipal. The project will utilize cutting edge machine vision and machine learning pipelines along with genomics and Drosophila biology to gain fundamental insights about brain function. Candidate will also support the day daily operations of the laboratory. Appropriate training will be provided.</p><p>Joining date: December 16th, 2023 onwards.</p><ul><li>Coding skills including either R/Python/MATLAB are mandatory. Demonstrable hardware skills such as ability to build Raspberry Pi or Arduino projects, electronic circuit boards, 3D printing and handling machine vision pipelines would be a plus. </li><li>Candidates with prior experience in Machine vision, Bioinformatics or Bioengineering will be preferred.</li><li>Candidate needs to be highly motivated, a self-starter and a team player who can work in a highly collaborative and inter-disciplinary environment including neuroscience researchers, clinicians and engineers.</li><li>The candidate should be highly organized and be able to manage multiple priorities.
