    </h4><p>This Scheme is instituted by the Trust to recognize and reward young Indian scientists, below the age of 40 years, with outstanding track record in biological sciences, a deep commitment to find innovative solutions to major problems related to human diseases and potential for high quality research.       Duration
    </h4><p>The duration of the Award will be initially for three years, extendable further by two years, on a review by the Trust’s Experts’ Committee. </p><h4>

      Qualifications
    </h4><p>The applicant should possess a Ph.D. degree in any Biological Science or a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences, or an equivalent degree in Biotechnology related areas. The applicant must have at least 4 years’ professional experience in the specific area after obtaining the above degree.

    </h4><p>IPNI's Mission</p><p>The mission of IPNI is to develop and promote scientific information about the responsible management of plant nutrition for the benefit of the human family.</p><p>IPNI is a global organization with initiatives addressing the world's growing need for food, fuel, fiber and feed. There is widespread concern for issues such as climate change and relationship of crop production to the environment and ecosystems, and IPNI programs are achieving positive results. Best management practices (BMPs) for nutrient stewardship encourage the concept of applying the right product (source), at the right rate, at the right time, and in the right place.</p><p>Awards of US$2,000 each will be conferred to deserving graduate students in sciences relevant to plant nutrition and management of crop nutrients.
</p><p>The Award will be made directly to the student. No specific duties will be required of the recipient. <br /></p><p>The Award will be granted independent of any assistantship, scholarship, or other award that the student presently holds.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>Awards of US$2,000 each will be conferred to deserving graduate students in sciences relevant to plant nutrition and management of crop nutrients.</p><h4>
      Qualifications
    </h4><p>Graduate students attending a degree-granting institution located in any country with an IPNI program are eligible. See countries included: <a href="http://www.ipni.net/regionalprograms" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">http://www.ipni.net/regionalprograms</a></p><p>Candidates for either the M.S. or Ph.D. degrees, who are enrolled in a program of graduate study as of the application deadline, are eligible. Applicants who have already completed their degrees are ineligible. In the case of Ph.D. candidates, preference will be given to students who have a minimum of one year remaining before completion of their studies.<br /></p><p>Priority will be given to the relevance of the proposed research in support of IPNI's mission (see below). Students in the disciplines of soil and plant sciences including agronomy, horticulture, ecology, soil fertility, soil chemistry, crop physiology, and other areas related to plant nutrition are encouraged to apply.
Winners are not eligible for reappointment; the awards are for one time only.</p><p>(NOTE: Students in Africa - If your university is not located in a region with an IPNI program but your research is being done with research institutions in Africa—including the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), and National Agricultural Research Systems—you are eligible to apply. Your research work should be in Africa and at least one of your main supervisors should be based in Africa.)</p><h4>

This is a sponsored fellowship by Tata Trusts in partnership with Tata Memorial Centre for 2 basic research projects on hypoxia and organoids in pancreatic cancer.</p><p>Tata Memorial Centre treats significant number pancreatic cancer patients each year and is one of the highest volume pancreatic cancer surgery center in India. Clinical team at TMH performs around 150 major pancreatic resections each year. This fellowship offers unique opportunity for the fellow to join experienced research team at TMH and ACTREC and work on the research projects focused on pancreatic cancer and develop in depth understanding of the molecular research and research methodology.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>Age less than 35 years with MCh /DNB Surgical Oncology or MCh / DNB GI surgery or MS General surgery with 3 years’ experience in HPB surgery with a proven research interest in GI / Pancreatic Cancer OR Candidates with age less than 35 years with PhD degree in any branch of Biological Sciences with laboratory experience in molecular biology, cell biology, with a minimum of 3- 4 year post-doctoral research experience and good publication record. Candidates with experience in genomics, bioinformatics and cell culture assays and their application in pancreatic/GI cancers would be preferred.</p><h4>

    </h4><p>The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB), driven by the vision to foster economic growth with efficient environmental management, proposes to introduce a scheme for financial support to postgraduate students for doing PhD in the field of environmental Science and Engineering. These candidates can obtain knowledge, co-operation, guidance or orientation on various subjects related to technical, scientific, legal, etc on environment problems with the help of experienced Professors/Researchers. The Board has, therefore, decided to launch a scheme to encourage such candidates undertaking Research and Development in the field of environment relevant to the state of Andhra Pradesh through Ph.D. with board financial assistance. </p><h4>

    </h4><p>The fellowship is purely a temporary assignment and is tenable initially for a period of 3 years. In exceptional cases, depending on the progress of research, the fellowship can be extended for 6 months. There is no provision to extend the tenure beyond three years except in exceptional cases.<br /></p><h4>

    </h4><p>The voluntary organization titled “Centre for Urban Biodiversity Conservation &amp; Education (CUBE)” was formed from the ongoing conservation movement at Singanallur Lake, Coimbatore comprising Administrators, Scientists, Professors and Conservationists. The ultimate aim of the organization is to create awareness about urban biodiversity and its importance, to promote urban greenery and importantly to establish Singanallur Lake as a Model Wetland. On that line, we are initiating a CUBE Fellowship Program to support exceptionally talented students towards their academic dissertations at Masters Level in pursuing research initiatives that will contribute new knowledge in the field of urban biodiversity conservation. <br /></p><p><strong>Outline</strong><br /></p><p>CUBE fellowship is awarded to encourage young researchers at Masters Level to take up any research studies in the field of Urban Biodiversity Conservation. Special preference will be given to Conservation studies on Singanallur Lake, Coimbatore which was recently declared as “Urban Biodiversity Conservation Zone”. One or two fellowships will be awarded in an academic year towards their Masters Dissertation and the fellowship amount will range from Rs. 10,000 - Rs. 15,000 per study.

 </p><p><strong>Selection Process</strong></p><p>All applications will be scrutinized and will be evaluated for its feasibility to complete the study within the timeframe, objectives and outcome of the study, scientific design and methodology, and also the ability of the applicant. The applications can be accepted, rejected or provisionally accepted on the basis of the recommendations from the review committee. The committee’s decision is final. 
 </p><p>The successful applicant will be required to sign a standard reporting and completion agreement and liability waiver. A copy of the final report has to be submitted within one month of the completion of the study and the applicant is encouraged to publish their findings in Journals. The fellowship amount will be disbursed to students directly on the recommendation of the research guide. The fellowship amount cannot be utilized for tuition fees, travel to conferences and the entire amount for purchase of equipment's alone.

    </h4><p>The Indo-Australian Career Boosting Gold Fellowships (IACBG-Fellowships) is an initiative of the Government of India through the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology; with in kind support from the Australian Government, Australia, through the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science,<br />and Research.</p><p>Under this initiative, the Government of India will fund ten (10) researchers from India.     </h4><p>The Centre offers summer fellowships for two months to bright undergraduate and MSc students studying in India. This programme has proved to be popular and competitive; each year, about 2000 students from all over India apply for the 50-60-80 fellowships awarded. All the fellowships are supported by the Department of Science &amp; Technology, Government of India. Students are placed with research groups at JNCASR or with scientists elsewhere in India. They are paid travel expenses and a monthly stipend of Rs. 6000. Selected students get the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge research, and several summer projects have led to publications in leading journals. Any scientist or group of scientists may, at any time, file a claim of having solved any one of the listed “challenges”.</p><h4>
      Money
    </h4><p>The award carries a cash prize of ₹ <strong>10.00 lakh, </strong>a citation<strong>,</strong> in addition to a share in the income generated by ICAR from the commercialization of the technology/ product/ process developed by the scientist while solving any of the given challenges as per ICAR rules and norms.</p><h4>
      Qualifications
    </h4><p>All agricultural scientists of any age are eligible. Claims made by any non-scientist(s) may also be considered by ICAR at its discretion.</p><h4>
      To Apply
    </h4><p>By the nature of the award, claims will have to be filed.     </h4><p><strong>AIAS-COFUND (Marie Curie) Fellowships:</strong></p><p>Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) is pleased to announce that up to15 AIAS-COFUND fel-lowships are available for the most talented researchers from around the world. The scheme is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement no 754513 and Aarhus University Research Foundation.</p><p><strong>Why apply</strong></p><p>A fellowship at AIAS offers researchers a unique opportunity to pursue their own research project in an inspiring international and multidisciplinary environment. The AIAS-COFUND II Programme has a distinct focus on career development for especially young talented researchers, offering both aca-demic mentorship, career development in transferable skills and opportunities to organize large-scale multidisciplinary and international conferences. The Programme seeks to enhance the fellows’ genu-ine understanding of the methodologies and approaches of other scientific disciplines at the highest level, thus making cross-disciplinary inspiration and initiatives possible.</p><p><strong>The AIAS-COFUND II Fellowship Programme<br /></strong><br />Applicants can choose their research topic freely within all academic areas. The duration of a fellow-ship varies from 6 up to 36 months, with commencement dates either on 1 October 2018 or 1 February 2019. Preferred time of commencement can be stated. Time spent as part of a procedure for obtaining refugee status under the Geneva Convention, compulsory national ser-vice and/or short stays such as holidays are not taken into account.</li></ul><h4>

N. Bhatt Memorial Excellence Fellowship Program in the summer of 2018. This program offers a unique opportunity to undergraduate/masters students of Science and Engineering to work with faculty and post-doctoral fellows of the Centre and to participate in research at the frontiers of knowledge.</p><h4>
      Qualifications
    </h4><p>Undergraduate students of science, mathematics and engineering, who are in their third, fourth or fifth year of the program are eligible to apply. Exceptional undergraduates in their second year may also apply. Masters degree students and those who have completed their undergraduate are also welcome to apply.</p><h4>
