Bio-Gene-Sys 2018 was initiated last year on 28th of February, 2017, as a one-day event in conjunction with the National Science Day to provide the graduate students an open platform to discuss science outside the limits of their curriculum and to encourage and reward their capabilities in discussing and presenting recent concepts of scientific knowledge based on their individual interests.
This year the program has been extended to a two day event and thus Bio-Gene-Sys 2018 will be held during 27 — 28th February 2018 and is sponsored by both DST SERB as well as Pondicherry University.
The First day of Bio-Gene-Sys 2018 will have competitive events for undergraduate and post-graduate students and research scholars for the promotion of scientific temperament. Abstracts are invited for Poster as well as Oral presentations in the Competitive Sessions for the Research Scholars on 27th of February, 2018. Research papers in all disciplines of life sciences and medical sciences are welcome to be presented during the event.
The second day of the event, the 28th of February, 2018 is reserved for National Symposium on Trends in Biochemistry in Post-Genomic Era, where a stellar lineup of experts from the ever-expanding fields of biochemistry have been invited from centers of the excellence across the nation.
As a part of the National Symposium the invited speakers will be presenting recent developments in their fields of expertise achieved in the respective laboratories.
The National Symposium is directed around two distinct themes -
- Integrating Systemic Knowledge to Understand Pathophysiology
- Brain: Genetic Diversity, Cellular Mechanisms and Behavior
