Following on the success of the 2009 and 2010 YIM meetings, the Third Young Investigator Meeting held in Bhubaneswar in February 2011 provided a platform for  India's best young life science  researchers and post-doctoral fellows interested in pursuing careers in India to meet one another and to interact with renowned international and Indian scientists and science policy makers. The program featured scientific talks and posters, with a unique focus on mentorship, as senior scientists from India and abroad shared their  experiences and lead panel discussions on strategies for scientific success. The 2011 meeting also featured an  expanded satellite meeting for postdoctoral fellows to meet institute directors and chairs to learn about job  opportunities in India.
